Thomas received his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from DePaul University College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Illinois - Chicago. During law school, Thomas was an extern for the Honorable Raul Vega, the then-presiding judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County's Domestic Violence Division. He also volunteered with the Domestic Violence Legal Clinic's Emergency Services Division, where he assisted self-representing litigants in the preparation of orders of protection.
Committed to his legal studies, Thomas received five CALI awards during law school for earning the highest grade in the classes of Bankruptcy, Real Estate Transactions, Mediation, the Domestic Violence Practicum, and LARC I, a first-year writing course where the topic was family law. He also received a certificate in family law from DePaul University College of Law in May 2019 for successfully completing multiple child and family law courses.
Thomas enjoys working with people and looks forward to the opportunity to work with you regarding your legal matter. He particularly enjoys his estate planning and probate practice because he is able to assist persons in planning for distribution of the legacies for which they worked hard to achieve and, in the case of probate, counseling representatives and heirs through the process of administering estates of their loved ones.
